CEO & President

Paul Huszar is the CEO, President, and majority owner of VetCor, LLC, a restoration company focused on creating opportunities for veterans. When it comes to achievements in both civilian and military life, he sets the VetCor example.

Civilian Life

Paul was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. In his studies, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri. Paul has two children and lives in Tampa, FL.

Military Life

Paul retired from 23 years of active-duty military service including four combat tours in Iraq, one unaccompanied tour in Korea, and operational deployments to Thailand, Bolivia, Honduras, Panama, and Haiti. His military awards and decorations include: The Legion of Merit, The Bronze Star Medal with oak leaf cluster, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and several other commendations, service medals and unit awards.

Scott Walden

Chief Operating Officer

Scott Walden is the Chief Operating Officer for VetCor, LLC; a veteran manned and managed insurance services company specializing in mitigation of water loss damage. Similar to Paul Huszar, Walden also lists impressive achievements in civilian and military life:

Civilian Life

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Black Hills State University (cum laude). Prior to joining VetCor, he served as the Director of Training and Customer Support for M.I.C. Industries, Inc. In this role he developed and managed the company’s training program, designed to provide high-level instruction in the operation and maintenance of the company’s machinery and software to domestic and international customers. In addition, he handled oversight of all aspects of the company’s customer support operation.

Military Life

Scott Walden served in the United States Army from October 1983 until his retirement as a Sergeant Major in November 2006. He served throughout the United States and overseas in every leadership position from Team Leader to Brigade Operations Sergeant Major. His military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (6 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Oversees Service Ribbon (Numeral 3), Iraqi Campaign Medal (1-CS), Afghanistan Campaign Medal 1-CS, NATO Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Award (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Sapper Tab. Scott Walden is also a recipient of the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal and is a member of the Prestigious Audie Murphy Club.

Mike Long, MBA

Vice President of Franchise Development

Born and raised in Coal Township, Pennsylvania, Mike Long is the Vice President of Franchise Development and functions as the “tip of the spear” for recruitment of the next generation of VetCor business owners. Mike graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Management and subsequently earned an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Tampa. He’s also a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he proudly served as an officer in the Armor Branch. Following his military career, Mike spent 18 years in Medical Sales & Sales Management. Mike understands the process of becoming a franchisee. He was the 2d VetCor franchisee when he established VetCor of Sarasota (FL) in 2019. Given his experience, Mike is well equipped to evaluate, vet, and onboard qualified candidates for VetCor franchise ownership.
