Team of Veterans Opens Georgia’s First VetCor

Veteran business owners Patrick Salmon and Bob Reid bring water and mold damage restoration services to Norcross

Established business owners of Norcross-based Canebridge International  and military veterans Patrick Salmon (Marines) and Bob Reid (Army), decided to add water and mold damage restoration services to their business portfolio. Signing the first franchise agreement in Georgia, the Veteran team opened VetCor of Norcross with a ceremony on Friday, August 7, 2020.

VetCor of Norcross will provide Emergency Restoration Services to include water damage mitigation, fire and smoke damage, emergency board up and roof tarping, as well as cleaning and the application of disinfectants to residential and commercial property owners.

Paul Huszar, VetCor President and CEO, says “We eagerly welcome Patrick Salmon and his team to Team VetCor!  Patrick is our first franchisee outside of Florida, and we’re excited to have this Marine lead the way in our revolution as we expand outside of Florida and throughout the United States.”

Salmon learned about the VetCor franchise opportunity when his daughter, Air Force veteran Tkeisha, and son, Marine veteran K’yon, both worked for VetCor of Tampa. When moving back to Norcross earlier this year, Tkeisha mentioned how she loved the Veteran values and work environment and asked her Dad to talk to Huszar about the franchise opportunity. Salmon says, “After we came to Tampa to talk to Paul and Mike Long, Vice President of Franchise Development, and as a Veteran myself, I just knew this was a perfect fit for our existing business, my business partner, and for my family.” Both of Salmon’s children will help run day-to-day operations.

Huszar says, “This is the first of many more to follow as part of our mission to create sustainable and meaningful employment opportunities, and now business ownership opportunities, for our Nation’s heroes and their immediate family members.”
